Acevedo differentiated the approval of Bitcoin in El Salvador with the dollarization of 21 years ago in his country, saying that its acceptance and use have not been successful at all, since in his opinion it has not managed to meet the main objectives stated by the government, such as supporting financial inclusion and reducing the cost of sending remittances to the country.
