The government of the Canary Islands, through the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment, announced the integration of blockchain technology in the CIDE Network project to accelerate maritime decarbonization, as well as fuel reduction.
The success case of Alfaship Shipping Agency, also known as the Canary Islands Maritime Cluster, aims to optimize operations, supply, digitize and expand its activities internationally. In this regard, Iryna Krasnikova, Commercial Director of Alfaship, stated, We have been limited to ship designation and customs logistics for 30 years. We are in the Canary Islands providing services to those who frequent the ports.
Recently, we have developed, together with our partners in Barcelona, the decarbonization project. The platform also uses Artificial Intelligence, it is a secure data exchange in the supply of fuel. According to the government of the Canary Islands, the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society advises, assists and seeks to provide specialized knowledge to make innovation accessible. As Alfaship, all the Canary business fabric has at its disposal the services of the CIDE Network, a free instrument of support for entrepreneurship and innovation of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment, through the Canary Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, with a co-financing rate of 85% within the framework of the FEDER Canarias Operational Program, said the government.
